home automation and consumer electronics development as part of the household’s life in the developed countries, will generate inevitably a steady growth of energy consumption in buildings. This should be especially true in the residential sector, more over if we bet on the democratization of electrical vehicles.

This is the assumption that we have taken as early as 2005.

We have considered very early  that if our vision is confirmed, it would go along with some needs:

  • IN offshore energy production units, near of sources of consumption,
  • Rationalization of the use energy use,
  • Real-time supervision of  both the offshore production and the household energy consumptions.

Our expertise in CAX and ICT, has to consider the approach of these new requirements by the CAX (computer-assisted Production, management software, Maintenance Management software,...) could be a source of development and to get to that, an interface that can perform these functions had to be setup.

Since 2006, we therefore reoriented our much of our business activity in Research and Development.


The production offshore energy market analysis led us to favour the photovoltaic technology with a baseline: design the photovoltaic integrated to the building as a global subsystem of the building, for which should be defined the INTERFACES with the rest of the building and taking in account the services already rendered.

Policies initiated at European level and applied in France on the occasion of environmental conference "Grenelle de l'environnement" for green building (self-sufficiency objectives and overproduci,g energy building),  have strengthened our vision that we had to act on both the level of consumption of the building system and the optimization of its production capacity.

It is this approach which has led to the OVATION project.

NTI Guadeloupe is the leader of the OVATION project, which mobilizes since 2008, 3/4 of its activity.
